We finished the weekend by going to the horse races. They had a food truck festival going on and of course the horses. I have never been and we figured Liam would love it. He loved the races and they also had a petting zoo, which was a big hit. It was really hot though so we didn’t stay too long and once home all three of us crashed.
What a great weekend, now today it is back to reality. We lived it up on Saturday by not only going to homegrown music festival but staying the night downtown at the Omni hotel. I highly reccomend it, it was posh yet very comfortable. And it would have been nice to relax by the pool on Sunday except for all the kids and parents there taking up all the chairs and causing chaos. Why is it when I am with my kid I don’t mind other kids but when I don’t have him other kids bother me.
I know it is still a week away but I am so ready to rock out at Homegrown Festival in downtown Dallas. Just saw on there twitter, @homegrowndfw, that they are finally releasing the schedule for the festival on Monday. So now Matt and I can start to plan our trip. We are going to stay the night at the Omni in downtown Dallas. They have an amazing pool and really nice rooms. It will be like a mini ACL, which I really miss and this year it is even on my birthday. Oh well maybe one year we can return to ACL and maybe take Liam with us. For now I will have to quench my music festival addiction with Homegrown.

My sweet little boy and his new haircut. He looks like a four year old now, ahh.
My little boy, who is not very little any more, got a haircut. Now he looks at least 3 or 4 years old instead of the 2 and half he is. I feel more then ever that is growing up way to quickly any day now he is going to tell me it is so uncool to kiss his mom goodbye. I started having second thoughts about the haircut has soon has she took the first cut. But Matt was with me and he was for getting the haircut. It makes sense it is summer and shorter is better, plus now he looks even more like Matt. Which I love…. :)
So I guess I will get used to it and don’t worry I will post pictures tomorrow. If I can get him to hold still.

Found this really cool hair product that is hair color that is not at all permanent (washes out completely with one wash) but is still really vibrant. I have to say I am intrigued and will probably ask my hair stylist what he thinks of it. This blog had a really good review of it as well as a how-to-video for it.
Has anyone tried this hair product?
