Good birthday so far, had breakfast with my two favorite guys and now vegging out on the couch with Liam. He really enjoys the Lion King right now, which is a nice break from Cars and Thomas the Train. I got him to watch one episode of the Muppet Show, which is my favorite from my childhood, unfortunately he didn’t seem that into it. He might be a little young still to get all the nuances of the great Muppet Show.
Our week started out a little rough with the cast. We have been having some major diaper issues with this cast for a while and it finally came to a head on Tuesday when Liam developed an ugly rash. So on Wednesday we went in for a cast check at the pediatric orthopedist. I talked them into trimming down the cast from around Liam’s torso which has made it a thousand times easier to diaper him. And has helped the rash to clear up quickly. We also got a chance to talk to a doctor about the break and rash he said he felt we had a really good chance of getting the cast off at our next appointment on October 27th. That is 2 weeks from yesterday!! Everyone cross your fingers for us that this happens. Hopefully soon the spica cast will only be a distant memory.
